Mimi is a lifelong learner who aims to expand her horizons academically. While her B.A. is in psychology she aims to use a multidisciplinary approach to view the world. Throughout her years of schooling she saw different disciplines as very separate, rigid areas that didn’t overlap. During her college years it dawned on her that each area of study can overlaps in a complex fashion with almost any other area. Facing a period of cognitive dissonance this realization didn’t mesh with how she like many other students were trained to learn about the world. Seeing information through concrete subject area lenses of science, math, english, social studies… etc. Finding that this is not accurate for the way the world works she has found enjoyment making connections between subject areas and creating building blocks to support her learning endeavors.
